Your Bespoke Forest

Promote Reduction, Prevent Supression

About Us

Montana born and raised.

Flathead Valley native Tai Foley started Safe Lands Forestry in 2008. Since then, Safe Lands Forestry has treated over 2,000 acres of forest. With over 25 years of experience fighting forest fires with Glacier National Park and the United States Forest Service, Tai has insider knowledge about forest fire mitigation and forest management. Specializing in fuels reduction, small-scale cut-to-length logging, and forest stand management, Safe Lands Forestry works with landowners to identify their aesthetic needs as well as their forest's health and safety to ensure it continues to thrive and support a healthy ecosystem.

We feel the job was done right and beyond our expectations. We have many more acres to clean up in the future and plan on using “The A Team” again!"

"Tai Foley has worked my lands for about 8 years now and I am most pleased. He listens very well, is very knowledgeable, sensitive and professional;. Tai is an expert sawyer. He has cut trees very close to my home and other structures and lays them down spot on. I am impressed with his careful cleanup. He often leaves the woods nicer than before. Tai is aware and sensitive to his surroundings. He is an artist in the woods. I have appreciated his work and can highly recommend him."

~Victoria

"Tai and his crew are professional, friendly, conscientious, and very able to tackle difficult jobs. It was fun watching them make decisions and work as a team. We highly recommend Safe Lands Forestry for fuels reduction, thinning, and any other forestry work. We are extremely happy with the final result and love being able to enjoy the pleasant forest view rather than a tangled fuel loaded mess."

~Linda

"We initially hire someone to do our fire mitigation but was left with a mess. After firing that guy we hired Tai Foley to clean up the mess we were left with. Tai and his team were able to clean everything up and properly stack the slash pile and cut a road in for us. Literally a load was off our shoulders and we couldn’t thank Tai and his his team enough For that. Anyone looking to have fire mitigation or work done around your land I would tell you to call Tai first and save you the frustration we went through."
